Deep into games of GTA 5 gamers have been hearing a commercial on the in-game radio for a product that makes light of e-cigarettes, e-liquids and drugs!!!, ‘The Electrotoke System’, the e-cigarette based toking device. The controversial fake radio commercial (found in the video above and in-game on rebel radio on grand theft auto v) States that ‘Nowadays you can’t smoke drugs anywhere’ and ‘using harmless water vapour to make the consumption of hard drugs healthy, discreet and pleasurable’ and it goes on to parody the whole e-cigarette and e-liquid market and community.
Also the in-game e-cig parody websites show the entire electronic toke product, from the diagram of the doctored e-cigarette to a list of make believe e-base flavours (parody of e-liquids). These can be found in the screenshots below this article and on the mobile phone web on GTA5. The in-game electrotoke system, that apparently ‘keeps you mile-high and in good spirits in a probably safe and arguably legal way’ and claims to be the future of chemical dependence.
Although we don’t advocate the use of drugs, we can still find humour in the parody of e-cigarettes and the art and slogans used. This product and the website shown are not real e-cigarette and e-liquid products, just made for in-game content and humour.
