eCigarettes and eliquids containing cannabis may go on sale in the Uk BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
But how is vaping cannabis legal in the UK?
Vaping THC found in cannabis is still illegal, nothing has changed there. However an eliquid has been developed in France which contains hemp, and has been legalised for use in France for medical purposes for people with cancer, multiple sclerosis (MS) and other conditions requiring pain relief where regular medication may produce negative side effects.
The newly developed cannabis eliquid contains no THC, which is the chemical within cannabis that produces the high. Although people will not be vaping this to get stoned, the muscle relaxation and pain relief will still be a side effect from the vape. The eliquid will also be compatible for use with any Standard eCigarette.
The creators of the Cannabis eLiquid stated the eLiquid will go on sale soon, but the UK Home Office has questions on whether it is technically legal. The Home Office are currently testing the product for illegal for controlled substances and if the result is positive it will fail to go on sale in the UK. However, the legal test for cannabis is solely for the presence of THC. If the cannabis eliquid has indeed been produced with 0% THC, then the UK may find cannabis eLiquid on sale really soon.
Orlando, Oregon, Alaska and Washington in the USA now have legal cannabis vaping for recreational vaping, but will Europe soon see the same? Read the full story here- Cannabis Vaping
